What it means
LIN-BUS / CI-BUS communication failure. The air conditioner has lost the data-bus link it uses to talk to the vehicle control/display system.
Most likely causes
- Loose, damaged or disconnected bus/control cable between the AC and the display/vehicle network common
- Display or control-panel fault on the bus common
- Outdoor control-board communication fault less common
Safe checks you can do yourself
- Check that the control panel / display cabling is seated, where accessible without opening live wiring
- Power the system fully off and on to re-establish the bus link
- Note whether other bus-connected functions also misbehave (points to the bus, not the AC)
How to reset / clear EL
- Disconnect power for about 2 minutes
- Restore power and let the system re-initialize the bus
