What it means

Norcold prints this as one fault with two display styles: the LCD panel alternates "AC" and "rE", while the older LED panel flashes "Sr" and "CL" with the AC LED flashing.

Corrected on 2026-08-30. This page previously described AC/rE as a flame-sense failure. Two Norcold OEM manuals agree it is not: publication 618968B files "Sr CL" and "AC rE" as one fault, AC relay stuck closed, and publication 619394E lists "AC" "rE" = AC relay is stuck closed. The flame-sense failure is a separate code, "Sr FS" / "Sr". The same fault appears as the letter "H" on N620/N621/N820/N821 and as four flashes of the red light on Polar N7/N8 models.
